Dr. Sameer Jain is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and currently practices full-time in his private practice at Woodland Hills Endodontics in Los Angeles. He serves as Lecturer, Division of Endodontics, at UCLA, and was an Assistant Professor and Director of the Urgent Care Clinic with the Department of Endodontics at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Dentistry. He is currently a Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International (ADI) and recipient of the James H. Revere scholarship.
Dr. Jain's research activity focuses on endodontic biomaterials and translational technology. He has established the country's first dynamic navigation model for minimally invasive endodontics research and development. His research paper published in the Journal of Endodontics, titled "3-Dimensional Accuracy of Dynamic Navigation Technology in Locating Calcified Canals," was one of the first to explore the potential of applying dynamic 3D navigation technology in endodontics.
Dr. Jain has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and two books in the field of endodontics. He is the inventor and holds a patent for HYBROSONIC, a novel heat and sonic obturation and irrigation system. His work has earned recognition in the form of the American Association of Endodontists' Resident Award, the Jean-Marie Laurichesse Research Award, the Pierre Fauchard Academy Award, MIT's Young Innovator TR35 Fellow Award, and the American Dental Association's Henry M. Thornton Fellowship Award.
Dr. Jain is a scientific reviewer for top endodontic journals including the Journal of Endodontics, International Endodontic Journal, and Clinical Oral Investigations, and serves as a nominated member on the American Association of Endodontists' national committees.
Dr. Jain earned his Certificate and MSD in Endodontics from the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry at Houston. He also completed his Master's in Dental Biomaterials at the University at Buffalo in New York, his General Practice Residency, and his dental degree in India.
