Session
Dr. Logan Bell, DDS & Kim Lopez
Some of the most useful applications of AI in an endodontic practice have little to do with diagnosis or treatment planning. They involve eliminating the repetitive work that surrounds patient care.
This session will show how AI has been integrated into a real endodontic practice to streamline documentation, referral communication, and everyday office workflows. Attendees will see an ambient AI scribe used within the operatory, follow a clinical note as it is transformed into a referral report, and see how AI coding tools can turn a plain-English description of an inefficient workflow into a working custom application.
Examples will include automating CBCT import and export processes, reducing dependence on individual team members for technical tasks, and identifying other repetitive workflows that may be better handled by software. The emphasis throughout will be on practical implementation, appropriate human oversight, and using AI to reduce friction rather than replace clinical judgment.
