Scaling Your Practice

Session

Dr. Vivian Graham

Course description

Growing a practice involves much more than adding providers, team members, or locations. True scalability requires creating systems that allow a practice to grow while maintaining clinical quality, operational efficiency, culture, and profitability. In this session, Dr. Vivian Graham will share lessons learned from building and managing a multi-location endodontic practice, including the challenges, mistakes, and operational changes that come with growth. Attendees will explore strategies for centralization, team development, technology, standardization, and transitioning from clinician-owner to practice leader.

Objectives

  • Differentiate between practice growth and true scalability, and identify indicators that a practice is ready to expand.
  • Identify the systems, technology, and team structure necessary to support growth across multiple providers and/or locations.
  • Develop strategies to maintain clinical quality, patient experience, culture, and profitability as a practice grows.

Expect to learn

Attendees can expect to learn practical, real-world strategies for scaling a dental practice, including when to expand, what to centralize, how to build an effective leadership team, which systems should be standardized, and how technology and data can provide oversight as the practice grows. The session will also address common scaling mistakes and lessons learned along the way, with ideas attendees can apply whether they are considering their first expansion or already managing a growing practice.
