Robert Grover
Dr. Robert Grover arrived in Charlottesville over thirty years ago with the goal of creating an endodontic practice that provides high quality, compassionate root canal therapy. Since establishing Grover Endodontics, he has continued to fuse clinical skills, expertise, and advanced technology to provide the best patient-centered care possible.
Dr. Grover was born and raised in Staunton, Va. After graduating from Hampden-Sydney College, he attended the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, then served as a dentist in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps before returning to Staunton to practice general dentistry. Two years later, Dr. Grover’s enthusiasm for endodontics led him to attend the Boston University Henry Goldman School of Dentistry, where he received a certificate in graduate endodontics. He then returned home to Virginia, and established Grover Endodontics in 1995.
Dr. Grover is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontics, the Virginia Dental Association, and past president of the Charlottesville-Albemarle Dental Association. In 2019, Dr. Grover was inducted as the 78th member of the International Academy of Endodontics, a group of quality-minded endodontists dedicated to promoting clinical excellence, continuing education, interdisciplinary dialogue, and the oral health of patients.
Dr. Grover is an assistant professor at the VCU School of Dentistry Department of Endodontics. He lectures nationally on endodontic outcomes, restoration of endodontic teeth, conservative diagnosis and treatment, CBCT imaging, and the treatment of compromised teeth. Dr. Grover is dedicated to rehabilitating teeth that have been labeled non-salvageable and helping patients retain their natural dentition as long as possible.
Dr. Grover lives with his wife Brenda and their daughter Sarah and is happy that his son Andrew still enjoys coming home.
